Tiwai Steedman
Ko Takitimu te waka
Ko kahungunu te iwi
Ko Tiwai Terence Huia Steedman
Having experienced employment in the NZ Railways, NZ Armed Forces and NZ Forestry Service the challenge of participating in a community driven project was not a hard decision for Tiwai to make. The opportunity given by Te Hauora O Te Hiku O Te Ika has provided Tiwai with the chance to encourage, promote and lead a journey identified by Tane Maori for Tane Maori towards a healthier and ultimately longer lifestyle. Now Tiwai’s whanau from Taihape wait patiently for the ‘One Heart Many Lives – Muriwhenua’ project to be promoted and shared so that the channels of the ‘One Heart Many Lives’ concept extends.
