Catching the heart of Maori in the tail of the fish

biography

Te Paatu, Ngati Kahu, Te Rarawa nga Iwi. Lisa is the Manager of the Public Health contracts delivered by Te Hauora O Te Hiku O Te Ika in Kaitaia. Lisa’s passion is to improve Maori health through Maori participating in the conversation and planning right from the ‘get go’. Maori are consistently portrayed as the problem, but are never consistently included as the holders of the solution, the One Heart Many Lives-Muriwhenua 2007 project has shown that engaging with your audience works and can provide a win-win for all.
