Deb manages the national physical activity campaign Push Play at Sport
and Recreation and with the assistance of the Obstacle to Action
research is aiming to move the campaign from awareness to action by
developing campaign initiatives that provide people with the reason why
they personally should be active and how to go about doing it.
Deb has had 8 years experience in the sector, having moved from a legal
background to take up a position with the Hillary Commission – where
she worked closely with territorial authorities and outdoor recreation
organisations.
Deb manages the Push Play awareness campaign. Before taking up the
position as General Manager, she was Senior Advisor Environment with
SPARC. Her sporting history includes rowing and triathlons, although
Deb now chooses to Push Play by walking up to two hours a day.
