Catherine outlines the work the NZ Guideline Group and the ways PHO's and DHB's can apply the guidelines in everyday settings.

biography

Catherine joined the Guidelines Group in September 2000 after 2 years as a private sector consultant. Before her consultancy work she was a policy manager in the Ministry of Health. She has had over 14 years policy experience in health and has been involved in a broad range of activities - health professional regulation, consumer safety and consumer rights, the development of trans-Tasman agencies, ethics and waiting times.

Catherine was appointed to the position of Vice-Chair of the Guidelines International Network (www.g-i-n.net ) from 2002 - 2004. In 2004, she convened the G-I-N conference in Wellington NZ, and was appointed as the inaugural Honorary Patron of the Network. She is currently a member of the Executive of the Network.
