Ange Rakena works for Te Hauora o Te Hiku O Te Ika, a Maori Iwi Provider in Kaitaia. She is employed as the Manaaki Manawa Kaupapa Maori Cardiac Rehab Nurse Specialist, covering the Far North region of Tai Tokerau PHO.
She is currently completing her Masters of Nursing with a focus on cardiovascular disease.
Most of Ange’s Cardiac experience has been in the actute coronary care setting, which has led her into specializing in cardiac nursing in rural primary health care.
